Where does your cost data come from?
Our rates come from the supplier relationships we have formed to integrate with their catalogs. In addition, we track labor rates across the country to make sure we're staying up to date with the fluctuations. Our costs update on a daily basis for every single city in the US.
Can your pricing be localized to my area?
Absolutely, your estimate will be localized to any location in the United States. When you create an estimate, we'll ask for your project location. Handoff will then generate your estimate with accurate rates specific to that location.

Yes, Handoff users can upload almost any relevant file type like drawings, photos, and other documents. Our AI can extract important information from files such as square footage, quantities, material lists, and more. These can then be used to generate estimates more accurately.
Are AI Takeoffs included in every Handoff plan?
AI Takeoffs are available through Handoff Scale for contractors who need fast, accurate residential estimates from plans 5,000 sqft or below. Takeoffs average 1-2 hrs to complete. Scale includes 5 AI Takeoffs per month, with additional takeoffs available for $99 each. Pro, Flex, and trial users don't include AI Takeoff access.
